MY OWN PRIVATE AUDIO

My Own Private Audio is a new sonic artwork produced and conceived by Feral (Jill Smith and Kathryn Boyle).  Containing a playlist of 8 intimate audio installations designed to be experienced by the listener at home during specific moments or situations in their day.

Artists have been invited to create new audio works spanning movement scores, sound art and spoken word offering a portal to discover the extraordinary in the everyday.  My Own Private Audio creates a place for the listener to immerse themselves sonically in artistic responses that range from the meditative and poetic to the irreverent, surreal and otherworldly.

Featuring contributions from artists including Katy Dye, Leyla Josephine, Alicia Matthews, Mac McGregor, Peter McMaster, David A Pollock, Gudrun Soley Sigurdardottir and Paula Varjack. With specially commissioned illustrations by visual artist Bruno Gallagher and sound design by Robbie Gunn.

Supported by Creative Scotland, Renfrewshire Leisure and Future Paisley.

ABOUT BRUNO GALLAGHER

Drawing has been a constant presence in Bruno Gallagher’s life for as long as he can remember. It is many things to him: a benign compulsion, a means of communication and expression, a form of meditation. Even when not drawing he is constantly observing and storing information that might later be committed to paper. His work is inspired by people, travel and cities. Bruno also makes and performs in street theatre.
